Even Scott Jennings isn’t certain about Donald Trump’s sweeping new tariffs.
On Thursday, the resident Republican on CNN’s “NewsNight” present admitted of the president’s transfer that has hit inventory markets and prompted fears of a worldwide recession: “I’ve combined emotions about this, in truth.”
Jennings, not known for questioning Trump, defined: “I wasn’t educated to imagine in tariffs. You recognize, these of us who grew up as conventional Republicans have all the time thought what Ronald Reagan thought. Some Republicans are “rejecting it,” the previous George W. Bush staffer identified. Others are “reluctantly going together with it” and a few are “enthusiastically embracing it,” he famous.
