“The Every day Present” host Michael Kosta delivered a dose of comedy on Thursday to mock President Donald Trump’s doctor-themed social media publish celebrating his so-called “Liberation Day” tariffs.
Trump wrote in all-caps on his Truth Social platform: “THE OPERATION IS OVER! THE PATIENT LIVED, AND IS HEALING. THE PROGNOSIS IS THAT THE PATIENT WILL BE FAR STRONGER, BIGGER, BETTER, AND MORE RESILIENT THAN EVER BEFORE. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
With economists warning that Trump’s sweeping new tariffs might really trigger a world recession, Kosta sarcastically reassured viewers to not panic by noting’s Trump behavior of “talking soothing phrases of consolation in occasions of want.”
