    Danish PM Issues Blunt Rebuke To U.S. During Visit To Greenland

    NUUK, Greenland (AP) — Denmark’s prime minister is wrapping up a three-day go to to Greenland on Friday after telling the U.S. “you can not annex one other nation,” even with the argument that worldwide safety is at stake.

    Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen traveled to the strategically critical Arctic island as U.S. President Donald Trump seeks management of Greenland. He argues that Greenland, a semiautonomous territory belonging to the Kingdom of Denmark, is crucial to U.S. safety.

    Talking in English, she stated that “if we let ourselves be divided as allies, then we do our foes a favor. And I’ll do every part that I can to stop that from taking place.”

    “If you ask our companies to put money into the U.S., they do. If you ask us to spend extra on our protection, we do; and whenever you ask of us to strengthen safety within the Arctic, we’re on the identical web page,” she stated.

    In an interview with Newsmax on Thursday, Vance repeated the accusation that Denmark has “actually underinvested within the infrastructure and safety of Greenland.”

    He stated Trump’s level is that “this issues to our safety, this issues to our missile protection, and we’re going to guard America’s pursuits come hell or excessive water.”
